During my travels, often in less traveled places, I happen to come across special people. They are often artisans, shepherds, farmers with whom I love spending time to learn about their history and learn something. The one with Luigi was a special meeting. I met him a few years ago and during my #PugliaFuoriRotta trip, created in collaboration with WeAreinPuglia, I stopped by to visit him. Luigi, lives between Carpino and Ischitella, is a boy always smiling and full of determination, in love with life, his work and nature. At the beginning of the Puglia Fuorirotta journey (we are in 2020), I asked myself how best I could describe the wonders of Puglia. I thought about places, monuments, churches, stories, nature and the most beautiful and unknown things my region has to offer. Then I thought about the people. To the special souls, children of a generous and varied land, who have decided to take care of the most precious gift ever received. To those people who inhabit a place, experience it and animate it with a feeling that defines its “emotional coordinates”. I made this video with the collaboration of Paolo and Giuseppe Fedele of Namias.
